Responsibilities of Editors

Fairness and Academic Merit

Editors evaluate submitted manuscripts exclusively on the basis of their academic merit (importance, originality, study’s validity, clarity) and relevance to the journal’s scope, without regard to the authors’ race, gender, sexual orientation, ethnic origin, citizenship, religious belief, political philosophy, or institutional affiliation. Decisions to edit and publish are not influenced by the policies of governments or any external agencies. The Editor-in-Chief holds full authority over the journal’s editorial content and the timing of its publication.

Confidentiality

Editors and editorial staff will not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, editorial advisers, and the publisher, as appropriate.

Use of Information and Conflict of Interest

Editors and editorial board members will not use unpublished information from submitted manuscripts for their own research without the authors’ explicit written consent. Privileged information or ideas obtained during manuscript handling will remain confidential and not be used for personal advantage. Editors will recuse themselves from considering manuscripts where they have conflicts of interest due to competitive, collaborative, or other relationships with authors, companies, or institutions, delegating such cases to another editorial board member.

Peer Review Process

Editors ensure that all manuscripts under consideration for publication undergo peer review by at least two expert reviewers in the field. The Editor-in-Chief decides which manuscripts are published, based on the work’s validation, its significance to researchers and readers, reviewer feedback, and compliance with legal standards regarding libel, copyright infringement, and plagiarism. The Editor-in-Chief may consult other editors or reviewers in this decision-making process.

Handling Ethical Concerns

Editors, in collaboration with the publisher and/or society, will address ethical concerns raised about submitted manuscripts or published papers. Every reported instance of unethical publishing behavior will be investigated, even years after publication. If an ethical concern is substantiated, the journal will publish a correction, retraction, expression of concern, or other relevant note.

Transparency

Editors are committed to maintaining clear communication with authors and reviewers regarding manuscript status and editorial decisions, ensuring that all journal policies are consistently applied and publicly accessible.
