Abstract

Owing to the accelerated adoption of digital technology triggered by the lockdown, educational institutions are forced to work online by maintaining social distance. Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) are considering this fact as an ideal time to experiment and deploy new digital technology to impart quality education. By considering the need of the hour, the present study focuses on the role of Information Communication Technology (ICT) in higher education in selected COVID-19 affected cities viz., Hubballi-Dharwad and Belagavi. It attempts to know the extent of student participation in ICT based learning and the problems faced by both teacher and student communities. Finally, it suggests measures to overcome problems and effective teaching-learning.
